Get clearer text from OCR

A good source image makes recognition easier to review.

Use the original file

Prefer the original scan or camera image over a small thumbnail, compressed messenger preview or repeated screenshot. Fine letter shapes can disappear when the source is reduced.

Keep the text upright and sharp

Straighten a tilted page and avoid blur or shadows. If needed, prepare the image in a suitable image editor before importing it.

Select the right language

The recognition language affects how words are interpreted. English is included in the base workflow. Use only recognition languages that are actually available in your installation.

Review difficult areas

Small print, unusual fonts, columns, tables and handwriting may produce mistakes. Compare the result with the original and correct it before exporting or sharing.

Keep expectations practical

No fixed accuracy percentage applies to every document. Review both the words and the layout. Clear table borders and sharp picture edges also help the app identify page regions.
